Wonderland Ballroom opens in Revere.

It is located in the Wonderland Amusement Park. The club becomes one of the favorite night spots for dancing in the Boston area. A new building (second) opens in the early 1960s. The club ceases to feature ballroom dancing just after 2000 and turns to Latin music. It closes in 2013 with plans calling for it to be replaced by a hotel.
